Murat KURUM
Minister of Environment and Urbanization

He was born in the city of Ankara in 1976. After graduating from Mimar Kemal High School in Ankara, he graduated from Selçuk University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Department of Civil Engineering in 1999. Between 1999 and 2005, he engaged in various private sector establishments operating in the field of construction as an engineer, construction supervisor and coordinator.

Between 2005 and 2006 he served as an expert in the Ankara Implementation Department of the Housing and Development Administration (TOKI). He became Unit Coordinator of the Istanbul European Side Implementation Department of TOKI between the years of 2006 and 2009.He served, between 2009 and 2012, as an expert at the Housing and Development Administration of Turkey. Since 2009, he carried out his duties of General Director at the Real Estate Investment Company the Participation of Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Housing Development Administration.Maried and as father of 3 children, Mr. Murat KURUM is the first Environment and Urbanization Minister of the new cabinet.
